Senior Storage and Backup Engineer (Unix)
Do you like storage? Do you master backups? If so, our IT Infrastructure Unix & Database Team is currently seeking for a new Senior Storage and Backup Engineer with place of work in Zurich Oerlikon or Bedano near Lugano. You will be part of the Unix and Storage Team in an enterprise environment and will take care of thousands of servers and Petabytes of storage. Together with experienced people you will be part of a multilingual team.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the storage is always available
- Ensure that backups are always running and properly stored
- Write and implement backup policies
- Follow the evolution of the infrastructure, implement new solutions,
perform migrations
Profile
- You have a technical degree and professional experience in the banking sector.
- Excellent Netapp and preferably IBM block storage knowledge
- Excellent Spectrum Protect (TSM) and his agents (Oracle, MSSql server, Linux and Windows) knowledge
- Unix/Linux knowledge
- You are fluent in English (spoken and written), German and Italian are a plus
- Nice to have: AIX knowledge, IBM power systems knowledge
